Next, the wax model is placed in a flask and surrounded by investment (a special plaster-like material). Once the investment has set, the flask is heated to melt the wax out, leaving a hollow impression of your design in the investment. The metal is then melted and poured into the flask, filling the impression and taking the shape of your design. After the metal cools and solidifies, the investment is broken away, leaving your piece ready for finishing.
The finishing process involves refining and polishing the metal to create the desired texture and shine. This step includes cleaning up any rough edges or surfaces, setting any stones or gems, and adding any additional details or embellishments. The end result is a beautiful, custom piece of jewelry that is truly one-of-a-kind.
